Lord Venkateshwara Back as Malayappa at Tirupati

The three-day annual festival of Jyestabhishekam at Tirumala shrine concluded on a grand note on Sunday. The religious grandeur, also known as Abhidhyeyaka Abhishekam, involved a host of religious ceremonies including Shatakalasa Tirumanjanam, kavacha pratishta, and special abhishekam to the deity Malayappa Swamy, the presiding deity at Tirumala Tirupati Temple.

Malayappa swamy was  adorned in Vajra kavacham on day one, Muttangi kavacham on day two, was back in his regular wear swarna kavacam on Sunday.

Shatakalasa Tirumanjanam and special abhishekam were performed to the deities on a specially arranged platform in the Kalyana Mandapam in Sampangi Prakaram in Srivari temple between 8am to 11am on the third day.
In view of the festival, TTD has cancelled Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva, Arjitha Brahmotsavam and Vasanthotsavam where as thomala and archana were performed as Ekanta.
